John Surinchak, SVHM director, has a background in the eucharistic faiths and is associated with various Marin County houses of worship.  He is a priest practicing in the Anglican tradition and has an extensive background in both the medical and spiritual aspects of healing.  John has a graduate degree in the sciences, has performed biomedical research on healing and is the author of several medical research and religious papers on that subject.  In addition to other sources, he received both basic and advanced training from Dr. Francis MacNutt, a world leader in healing prayer.  John is a member of the International Healing Order of St. Luke.

    Local non-Christian ministers, available through referral, come from a variety of traditions to include Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist and Baha'i.
